DNC also carrying $5.3 million in leftover debts making matters worse
Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) posted its worst April fundraising numbers since 2006 on Monday raising less than $8 million in the month of April. And to make matters worse its carrying $5.3 million in leftover debts.
According to the DNCs recent Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings the DNC struggled to raised just $7.9 million which is the organizations worst April fundraising numbers since April of 2006.
The Democratic National Committee has raised $95.6 million so far during the 2018 election cycle and has just $8.7 million cash on hand while at the same time carrying $5.3 million in debt.
By comparison
the Republican National Committee (RNC) has shattered fundraising records under the leadership of RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.
According to the RNCs most recent
Federal Election Commission filings the RNC has:
- Raised $13 million in April
- Raised $184.5 million so far in the 2018 Election and
- has $43.8 million Cash on Hand with no debt.
Under the leadership of DNC Chair Tom Perez however one person is benefiting despite the groups financial difficulties.
Hillary Clintons political group Onward Together" received another six-figure check for the use of its email list from the cash-strapped DNC.
Former Secretary of State and two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton gave her highest priced paid speech ever last week when she addressed an annual Democrat fundraiser the Democratic National Committees (DNC) Womens Leadership Forum in Washington D.C.
Its a particularly desperate move for both for the DNC and Clinton
of whom just 27 percent of American said they had a somewhat favorable view in a recent survey.
But worse than that Clinton has laid a portion of the blame for her stunning 2016 defeat on the DNC. In one of her first public interviews since losing to Donald Trump
Clinton said that after she secured the Democrat nomination in 2016 she inherited nothing from the Democratic Party."
The DNC and
the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) have paid Clintons political organization
Onward Together" nearly $900000 for list acquisitions.
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is effectively
paying Clinton nearly $1 million to speak at the Womens Leadership Forum.
