Dr. Dawn Buckingham Predicts Conservative Victories for Texas Senate in 2017 at Texas Tribune Festival

We are going to look for ways to create efficiencies across the governmental system and save people money.-- Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas   Dr. Dawn Buckingham Republican candidate for Senate District 24 said the Texas Senate will pursue an aggressive agenda of conservative reforms during the 2017 legislative session. Dr. Buckinghams comments were made Saturday during her panel at the Texas Tribune Festival on the University of Texas campus in Austin. Dr. Buckingham joined five current members of Texas Senate on a panel to discuss The Senate Agenda" in preparation for the 85th Legislature which begins in January 2017. The panel was moderated by Jim Henson Director of the Texas Politics Project. Across my district every day I talk to people who feel like they are being taxed out of their home and their family property" Dr. Buckingham said. We are going to look for ways to create efficiencies across the governmental system and save people money. I anticipate we are going to have a more conservative budget and we are going to cut taxes." Dr. Buckingham has been endorsed for the Texas Senate by Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick Governor Greg Abbott Comptroller Glenn Hegar former Governor Rick Perry and numerous other conservative officials grassroots leaders and advocacy groups.
