Energy Bill Pushed by Cong. Gonzales Prohibits Biden from Forcing Electric Vehicles on, Taking Gas Stoves from, American Consumers

"In the Republican-led House of Representatives, we're putting a stop to President Biden’s war on American energy.”

Texas Insider Report: (WASHINGTON, D.C.) – "The Biden Administration’s radical ‘rush-to-green’ agenda must be stopped – we can't devastate our national or Texas economy by surrendering to half-baked green ideas," said Cong. Tony Gonzales (TX-23), who as a member of the House Appropriations Committee helped advance the Energy & Water Development Appropriations bill that included language to prohibit previously allocated funding to the Department of Energy (DOE) to force electric vehicles on American consumers.

The bill also included a provision prohibiting the Dept. of Energy from implementing policies designed to discourage Americans from owning gas-powered ovens and stoves.

“We have abundant, safe, and reliable energy resources right here in Texas – but President Biden refuses to cut the red tape he's put around our own domestic energy permitting processes,” said Congressman Gonzales.

“The oil and gas industry provides 1,000s of high-paying steady jobs in Texas, of which many of my constituents rely on.

"Families throughout TX-23 have been devastated by skyrocketing energy costs.
