MOORE: Even Blue States Are Abandoning "Green Energy"

"We need to make sure we're getting all types of energy supply into the region to meet our growing needs," Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey told the Times. "We can't just put our eggs in one [green energy]  basket."

Stephen Moore: Unleash Prosperity Hotline – This New York Times headline the other day says it all:

Why? Because as the Times reports, just as we've noted multiple times in the HOTLINE: soaring electric bills are twice as high as those in the Midwest or South and climbing fast.

The Democratic governors of Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, and Massachusetts are delaying or dropping their unattainable and expensive green energy goals.

"We need to make sure we're getting all types of energy supply into the region to meet our growing needs," Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey told the Times. "We can't just put our eggs in one [green energy]  basket."

The new trendy alternative to wind and solar is nuclear power - which we are in favor of as long as it doesn’t require taxpayer subsidies. What the northeast REALLY needs is clean and cheap and abundant natural gas. And all they need to get that is pipelines - which the Left opposes.

Maps from even last year show a nice presentation that electric utility costs are often two to three times higher in most blue states, than in red states.
