Flores Statement on 2nd Quarter GDP Report

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. U.S. Representative Bill Flores (R-Texas) issued the following statement regarding the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) report on gross domestic product (GDP) for the second quarter of 2016: Todays report shows that the Obama administrations policies and regulations are holding back economic growth.  Our nation continues to struggle through a slow economic recovery because the administration has created substantial headwinds for Americas families businesses and job creators.  This dismal growth is disappointing and makes it more difficult for hardworking American families to get ahead.  Americans have suffered long enough and they are frustrated as evidenced by polling which shows that over 70 percent of our population thinks the country is headed the wrong direction. In contrast to Obamas failed economic policies House Republicans have released a bold forward-looking agenda that offers a better way to grow our economy by reforming our tax code fixing a broken regulatory system and reforming health care.  Our agenda promotes economic growth expands opportunity fosters job creation and ultimately works to grow the paychecks of hardworking Americans.  We are committed to our plan that protects Americas Liberty Opportunity and Security."
