Jan Sartain returns to Special Olympics Texas role
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Former Round Rock ISD Special Education teacher Jan Sartain has been elected to Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) Board of Directors. She will hold a two-year term in the At-Large position.

I am excited to work collaboratively with all who are invested in this organizations vision and believe that together we can move SOTX to new heights through opening doors and creating opportunities that will continue to change lives" Sartain said.

Sartain is the former Lead Teacher for the Adapted Physical Education Department and Head of Delegation for the Round Rock Independent School District Special Olympics Texas team. She retired from Round Rock ISD in May 2017.
Sartain was a member of the Special Olympics Texas Board of Directors from 1996-2002 and again from 2005-2011 serving as Chair of the SOTX Board of Directors from 2009-2010.
She is a Board Member of the Play for All Abilities Park in Round Rock and is the Competition Director in conjunction with the Round Rock Rotary Club for the annual Round Rock Rotary Track Meet benefiting area Special Olympics Texas teams celebrating its 20
th year of competition in 2018.
