"The Congressional Bipartisan School Safety & Security Caucus will explore every possible option to move the needle so our children are safe at school.”
Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Congressional Bipartisan School Safety & Security Caucus's purpose is to bring members of Congress together to foster discussions related to school safety and security, and propose solutions to this pressing issue, said Congressmen Tony Gonzales (Republican of TX-23) and Jared Moskowitz (Democrat of FL-23,) announcing the formation of the Congressional Bipartisan School Safety & Security Caucus.
This week, the caucus will host a School Security Roundtable with caucus members, educators, security, and mental health subject matter experts.
“19 children and 2 teachers were taken from the Uvalde Community far too soon because of a senseless act of violence,” said Congressman Tony Gonzales (right.) “The Congressional Bipartisan School Safety & Security Caucus will enable citizens and members of Congress to improve the environment in which our students learn.”
"On February 14, 2018, my hometown of Parkland, Florida was changed forever when 17 innocent lives were taken at my high school” said Congressman Jared Moskowitz.
"As Members of Congress, we have a responsibility to ensure our children live without fear. Working alongside my colleagues in the Congressional Bipartisan School Safety and Security Caucus, we will explore every possible option to move the needle so our children are safe at school," the Congressman said.
"No parent, child, or neighbor should have to worry that their loved one might not come home from school, but unfortunately, this is a reality in our nation,” said Cong. Gonzales. "I look forward to leading conversations on common-sense solutions around school safety," Gonzales said.
