Wharton championed by Gov. Abbott as next conservative leader House District 12 needs fighting for them in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas (Texas Insider Report) — “Trey Wharton is the proven fighter I need in Austin to help me pass crucial conservative legislation that ensures Texas remains the land of Freedom & Opportunity,” said Gov. Greg Abbott, bolstering support for State Representative Candidate Trey Wharton's House District 12 campaign over the weekend – prior to knocking on doors with volunteers in the neighborhoods of Brenham, Texas.

Abbott endorsed Wharton ahead of the March 5th primary, and participated in Wharton's volunteer kickoff event ahead of the May 28th Republican Run-Off Election to remind voters to support his effort prior to turning out to vote.

“As you’re out knocking on doors, we need to remind Texans that Trey Wharton will fight with me to secure our border, lower property taxes, and ensure parents have their God-given rights to choose the best education pathway for their child,” said Abbott.

"I urge all of you to go door-to-door and ask people to bank their vote early for Trey Wharton,” the Governor said.

During the kickoff event and a day of block-walking, Abbott championed Wharton as the next conservative leader Texans in House District 12 need representing them in Austin.

The Governor highlighted Wharton’s dedication in working together to strengthen Texas' border security efforts, and praised his advocacy for expanding school choice for every Texas family.

State Senator Lois Kolkhorst is also backing Wharton's HD 12 Campaign, and participated with Governor Abbott in the Brenham block-walking effort.
