Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – Harmony Public Schools-Central Texas is proud to share exciting news that reflects the dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment of our students, staff, and families.
This spring, HPS-CTX was named a 2025 Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished District—the only public school district in Texas and one of just 28 nationwide to earn this honor out of 3,500+. PLTW is a national nonprofit that brings hands-on learning in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science. This recognition highlights our commitment to giving all students access to high-quality, future-ready learning.
Also, all HPS-CTX campuses have earned—or are actively working toward—National and State School of Character distinctions from CharacterPlus. These honors recognize schools that build strong character and positive school culture by teaching core values, respect, and responsibility.
This week, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) has released its Accountability Ratings, and Harmony Public Schools–Central Texas earned high ratings across the district:

These results highlight the academic growth, success, and perseverance of our students, supported every step of the way by our outstanding teachers and staff.
In addition, Harmony Public Schools received the highest possible recognition—an A+ rating—from the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST). This achievement demonstrates our district’s strong financial stewardship, accountability, and commitment to responsibly managing resources so that every dollar supports student success.
To add to our celebration, all three high schools in our district were named among the top high schools in America by U.S. News and World Report.
