Harmony Public Schools-Central Texas proudly announces that Harmony School of Endeavor's Mrs. Malalai Sayedi, Science Department Chair and district PLC leader, has been selected as a Quality Reviewer for the Texas Education Agency’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Instructional Materials Review and Approval process.
Mrs. Sayedi received official notice of her selection following a competitive, multi-stage review process that included interviews and performance-based tasks.
According to program coordinators, more than 3,000 applicants applied for reviewer roles statewide.
As a Quality Reviewer, Mrs. Sayedi will help evaluate and strengthen instructional materials and curriculum used in CTE programs across Texas. Reviewers play a critical role in ensuring high-quality, standards-aligned resources for students and educators.
“I am honored to represent the work we do at Harmony Public Schools-Central Texas and to contribute to improving CTE materials statewide,” Sayedi said. “This opportunity reflects the strength of our collaborative community and the support we provide one another as educators.”
Quality Reviewers receive a base stipend of $4,500 and approximately 100 hours of Continuing Professional Education credit. Suitability Reviewers receive a base stipend of $3,500 and approximately 40 CPE hours. All reviewers must be Texas residents, and Quality Reviewers must have at least three years of teaching or equivalent experience.
Mrs. Sayedi brings more than 23 years of experience in education, including 14 years at Harmony School of Endeavor in Austin. She currently serves as Science Department Chair and district PLC lead, where she supports instruction in Biology and Biomedical Health Pathway CTE courses. She also leads students in earning industry-based certifications, including CCMA, Phlebotomy, EKG, Pharmacy Technician, and BACE.
In addition to her classroom and leadership roles, Mrs. Sayedi holds advanced degrees in Biology and Education and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership. She has been recognized as a Master Teacher by the Texas Education Agency and serves as a National Science Teaching Association Ambassador.
Her selection reflects both her individual excellence and Harmony Public Schools-Central Texas's continued commitment to academic innovation and success.
