Harmony Public Schools Posts Strong Performance in TEA's 2026 Statewide Accountability Ratings


Harmony Students Also Outperformed Statewide Averages in All STAAR Subjects

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas Harmony Public Schools is celebrating strong student outcomes as a result of Friday’s release of the Texas Education Agency’s 2026 statewide accountability ratings, reaffirming the district’s commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement across its PreK–12 campuses.

Out of 65 schools across Texas, 32 earned an “A” rating, while 16 campuses earned a “B” rating.

Additionally, all seven of Harmony’s regional Texas districts received either an “A” or “B” rating, with all scoring 86/100 or better. 

"At Harmony, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, and these results reflect the dedication of our students, families, educators and staff," said Harmony CEO Fatih Ay. “While we're proud of these accomplishments, we remain committed to continuous improvement and ensuring every campus continues to provide the exceptional education our students deserve."

Harmony again exceeded the state average in all 20 STAAR subject and content areas for the percentage of students who Met or Mastered learning objectives, including as by as much as 17 percent in Algebra I.

Other highlights include:
  • 35 Harmony campuses earned 4 or more TEA distinctions for Postsecondary Readiness, Closing the Gaps, Academic Progress and subject-specific performance (ex. Science).
  • 20 out of 65 Harmony campuses earned all possible (100%) TEA distinctions for Postsecondary Readiness, Closing the Gaps, Academic Progress and subject-specific performance (ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies).
  • Harmony Science Academy-Bridgeland, Harmony Science Academy-Georgetown, and Harmony Science Academy-Leander all earned "A" ratings in their first TEA ratings since opening in the 2025-26 school year.
These outcomes are a reflection of the strong, positive school cultures across Harmony Public Schools, as recognized by 57 campuses earning School of Character distinctions, underscoring the importance of values, leadership, and community in student success.

  • Emphasis on rigorous, future-focused academics, including STEM pathways and college & career readiness supports.
  • Targeted interventions and enrichment aimed at accelerating growth for all students.
  • Ongoing investments in instructional materials, teacher development, and student supports that directly impact classroom learning.
Harmony Public Schools celebrated the start of the 2026-27 school year with the opening of six new campuses, bringing the statewide charter system's total enrollment to approximately 50,000+ students.
