Harmony Charter Schools Launches Major Pay Increases for All Staff in 2025–2026

"We’re committed to supporting and growing every educator, every staff member, and every leader who makes Harmony the incredible place it is.”

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – “This package isn’t just a response to new funding – it’s a reflection of who we are. At Harmony, our people are our purpose – we’re committed to supporting and growing every educator, every staff member, and every leader who makes Harmony the incredible place it is,” said Harmony Schools Central Texas Area Superintendent Dr. Mustafa Altindag.

Harmony Public Schools announced sweeping upgrades to its compensation plan for the 2025–2026 school year – investments that reflect the organization’s unwavering commitment to valuing, rewarding, and uplifting every member of the Harmony team.

Earlier this year, Harmony recognized the commitment of its dedicated educators and staff by awarding a 2% fall retention bonus.Today, the network is taking that appreciation to the next level with a compensation package that brings meaningful increases for all employees.

These enhancements are made possible through a combination of strong fiscal stewardship and new funding from House Bill 2 (HB2) passed during the Legislative Session earlier this year.

Highlights of the 2025–2026 Compensation Plan

Base salary for first-year certified teachers increases to $59,000

In a continued commitment to attracting and retaining top educators, Harmony Public Schools is proud to announce an increase in the base salary for first-year certified teachers to $59,000, effective for the upcoming school year. This investment underscores Harmony’s dedication to academic excellence and support for those who make it possible—our teachers.

Up to $5,000 Salary Increases for Certified Teachers

Thanks to the Teacher Retention Allotment under HB2, certified teachers at Harmony will receive base salary increases of up to $5,000. Going above and beyond the limitations of HB2, Harmony is also raising starting salaries for teachers with fewer than three years of experience, thereby strengthening its ability to attract and nurture emerging talent.

Raises and Enhancements for All Staff

The upgrades don’t stop at the classroom door. Every corner of the Harmony family is seeing the benefits:

  • Band-level staff will receive a $3,000 base salary increase.
  • Hourly staff will benefit from role-specific pay adjustments, ensuring Harmony remains aligned with competitive market benchmarks.
  • Administrators will see more transparent, equitable pay guidelines, clarifying how prior experience is credited and aligning with broader education industry standards.
In Phase 3 of its ongoing compensation review, Harmony is also introducing a Loyalty & Impact Stipend for district and central office personnel.
