Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Officers with the U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcements (ICE) Enforcement & Removal Operations (ERO) arrested 89 Criminal Aliens and Immigration Violators in North Texas and Oklahoma during a 3-day enforcement action that ended Thursday.
ICE Arrests 89 in North Texas & Oklahoma in 3-Day Operation Targeting Criminal Aliens
During this operation the Enforcement & Removal Operations (ERO) deportation officers made arrests in the following Texas Cities & Towns:

- Lubbock (15)
- Mt. Pleasant (1)
- Plano (3)
Quitman (1)- Rockwall (3) and
- Tyler (7)

Aliens arrested during this operation are from the following 10 countries: Mexico (59) Guatemala (12) Honduras (8) Colombia (3) Nigeria (2) El Salvador (1) Laos (1) Nicaragua (1) Pakistan (1) and Vietnam (1).
Most of the aliens targeted by ERO Deportation Officers during this operation had prior criminal histories including convictions for the following crimes:- Aggravated assault family strong-arm
- Aaggravated assault of a public servant
- Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
- Alien smuggling
- Assault causing bodily injury
- Assault causes bodily injury family violence
- Assault child abuse
- Criminal mischief
- Dangerous drugs
- Discharge of a firearm
- Driving while intoxicated
- Fraud
- Illegal entry
- Indecent lewd acts with a child under 16 larceny
- Liquor violation
- Manufacture and distribution of a controlled substance
- Negligent homicide
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of methamphetamines
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Racketeering
- Rape
- Robbery and
- Making Terroristic Threats
- 23 of those arrested illegally re-entered the United States after having been previously deported which is a felony.
Depending on an aliens criminality an alien who re-enters the United States after having been previously deported commits a felony punishable by up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted.
Laredo Sector Border Patrol Agents Seize Over $2.2 Million Dollars in Narcotics
LAREDO Texas Laredo Sector Border Patrol Agents interdicted two narcotic smuggling attempts in Laredo Texas resulting in the seizure of over $2.2 million dollars in narcotics.
The first event took place on April 2 2018 when Border Patrol agents seized 44.64 pounds of methamphetamine and 4.64 pounds of heroin at the Border Patrol Checkpoint on Interstate Highway 35 north of Laredo Texas. Agents encountered a green Mercury Grand Marquis at the primary inspection lane and referred the vehicle to secondary for further inspection. A further search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 12 bottles concealed within the seats containing methamphetamine and an envelope containing heroin.
The methamphetamine was estimated to have a value of $1071446.40.00 and the heroin was valued at $148720.00. The driver and narcotics were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration and the vehicle was seized by Border Patrol.
The second event occurred on April 2 2018 when Border Patrol agents seized 1203.4 pounds of marijuana at the Border Patrol Checkpoint on Interstate Highway 35 north of Laredo Texas. Agents encountered a tractor-tractor at the primary inspection lane and referred the driver to secondary for further inspection after a Border Patrol canine alerted to the presence of concealed humans and/or narcotics. A further search of the trailer resulted in the seizure of 32 bundles of marijuana. The marijuana was estimated to have a value of $984472.67.
The driver and narcotics were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration and the vehicle was seized by Border Patrol.
CBP Officers at Laredo Port of Entry Seize Over $1.9 Million in Hard Narcotics Over the Weekend
LAREDO Texas U.S. Customs & Border ProtectioNn (CBP) Office of Field Operations (OFO) CBP officers at Laredo Port of Entry recently seized a significant load of hard narcotics with a combined total street value exceeding $1.9 million in one enforcement action last weekend.
This significant seizure shows the commitment our CBP officers have in keeping these dangerous narcotics off our streets while processing traffic in a timely manner" said Port Director Alberto Flores Laredo Port of Entry.
