ICE Arrests 10000 Known or Suspected Gang Members in 2018
Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently announced it arrested more than 10000 known or suspected gang members including more than 2000 MS-13 members during Fiscal Year 2018.
In FY 2018:
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) personnel arrested 959 MS-13 members and associates.
Enforcement & Removal Operations (ERO) removed nearly 6000 gang members including 1332 MS-13 members a 24 increase from FY 2017.
Gangs are involved in a myriad of criminal activity including murder extortion narcotics and weapons trafficking human smuggling-trafficking and prostitution and other crimes with a nexus to the border.
U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and Enforcement & Removal Operations (ERO) combine their unique authorities to target criminal activity and administrative immigration violations of known or suspected gang members.
