ICYMI: Today Marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

Today and every day, we are forever grateful for their service and sacrifice to our great nation.

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas During the early hours of the morning on June 6, 1944, more than 150,000 allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy, France during World War II. Many of them were brave American soldiers who crossed the seas to help liberate Europe from tyranny.

The price of freedom is never free. The American Dream is only possible because of the sacrificies our brave men and women in uniform have made.

“The world owes our freedom to heroes like our D-Day veterans. Their courage changed the course of history forever. Texas is proud to be the home to more than 1.7 MILLION veterans and servicemembers. Today and every day, we are forever grateful for their service and sacrifice to our great nation.

“Thank you for supporting our veterans during this important day.”
