Democrats won’t vote for anything, so why not go for the gold in the one bill that only requires 51 senate votes. You have a majority. Use it while you still can.
Stephen Moore: Unleash Prosperity Hotline – Hello!!! Is any Republican in Congress listening? You’re in big trouble! The midterms are shaping up to be a disaster. And you’re whistling Dixie.
You’re preparing a “skinny” budget resolution with more debt spending and no growth enhancers. No tax cuts. No fraud reforms. No health care savings. Are you TRYING to lose the House and Senate?
Our UP co-founder and brother in arms, Larry Kudlow, finally gave the GOP a well-deserved spanking yesterday on the Fox Biz Kudlow show:
I don’t understand what you all are doing with these bills. You’re not going to re-fund DHS. That’s not part of the skinny reconciliation bill. Only you’ve got ICE and a piece of customs…
Meanwhile, there’s a resolution for a budget of $60 trillion over 10 years? No tax cuts, no inflation indexing for capital gains, no Pentagon military supplement, no voting rights bill, no waste, fraud, and abuse. Senator Capito, you have to help me because I don’t understand. I think you are all going down the wrong road, ma’am, with the greatest of respect.

We couldn’t agree more. No skinny bill. Give us the fully loaded baked potato, please.
Just as a reminder, here are our UP suggestions for a full-throttled GROWTH AND JOBS bill:
- Capital gains indexing for all assets, or at least for housing
- 15% excise tax on university endowments of more than $100 million
- Tax commercial activities of universities and hospitals
- 10% across board domestic spending cut
- Reinstate “pay as you go” spending caps
- Codify Trump deregulation for budgetary savings
- Enact all DOGE cuts
- Cap Medicaid allocations to states with high fraud rates
- Redirect health care subsidies from insurance companies to individuals
