AUSTIN Texas (Texas Insider Report) I am confident in the long-term vision of the Texas Realtors Association and leave knowing the associations future is in outstanding hands" said Texas Realtors Vice President of Governmental Affairs Mark Lehman as the groups President & CEO Travis Kessler announced Lehmans upcoming retirement effective December 31 2019.
The Texas REALTORS® announced earlier today that Lehman will retire as the associations Vice President of Governmental Affairs after more than two decades of service.

Lehman will officially step down from the role on December 31 2019 following a distinguished career advocating for real estate consumers and professionals.
My respect and admiration for the work that Texas Realtors accomplish has no limits" Lehman said.
Lehman joined the realtors association in 1998 as Director of Governmental Affairs ascending to Vice President of Governmental Affairs in 2004.
In his role as Vice President of Governmental Affairs Lehman is responsible for coordinating all legislative and political activities for the 120000 member association including its Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee (TREPAC). Lehmans primary focus centers on legislation that directly affects the real estate industry and the rights of private-property owners in Texas.
Mr. Lehman is a 2018 inductee into the RPAC Hall of Fame.
Lehman has also published two public blogs. His professional blog titled In Lehmans Terms" sought to simplify complex legislative jargon into more understandable concepts and his bi-monthly faith-based blog was entitled The Shoe Box Chronicles."
Lehmans previous professional roles include campaign director for now-U.S. Senator John Cornyns successful Attorney General of Texas campaign he served as Chief of Staff for former Texas Senator Florence Shapiro and has held numerous other campaign positions at the national state and local levels.
