Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick: Statement on Appointment as Chair of the Presidential Religious Liberty Commission by President Trump

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas   "No President in modern history – or perhaps in all of history – has championed religious liberty for all Americans like President Trump. It is a great honor to chair the Commission," said Texas' Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick Thursday, as President Donald Trump announced him as Chairman of the Religious Liberty Commission.

“Earlier today, I joined President Trump and commission members at the White House for the National Day of Prayer – and the formal announcement of this presidential commission.”

“I am honored to be selected as the Chairman of the Religious Liberty Commission by President Trump. The commission is comprised of some of the foremost faith leaders, scholars, and thinkers of our time.

"I never dreamed I'd have the opportunity to speak in the Rose Garden alongside a President – especially one who is not only a friend, but also a fellow believer. He loves God, praises Jesus, and shows respect for people of all faiths," said Lt. Gov. Patrick.

"I thank President Trump for his steadfast commitment to ensuring our nation returns to our founding principles of faith and religious liberty.
