Lt. Gov. Patrick AG Paxton: On San Antonio Police Officer Shooting

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas   Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and Attorney General Ken Paxton issued these statements following the news that a San Antonio police officer was murdered this morning:

Dan Patrick: We received the sad news today that another Texas police officer has been killed in the line of duty. It appears the officer may have been murdered simply because he was an officer. Jan and I ask you to join us in keeping his family in our prayers. More law enforcement officers have been lost in Texas than in any other state. We cannot tolerate our police officers becoming targets on our streets when they are doing their job which is why protecting law enforcement must remain a top priority for Texas. Ken Paxton: Texans grieve today yet again as a courageous police officer was senselessly murdered in the line of duty in San Antonio. My office will support the San Antonio Police Department however we can now and in the days ahead. Angela and I extend our prayers and deepest sympathy to this officers family and to his colleagues in San Antonio and around Texas.
