Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – "I am proud to appoint these senators to the Windstorm Insurance Legislative Funding and Funding Structure Oversight Board," said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, announcing the appointments of the following Texas Senators to the Windstorm Insurance Legislative Funding and Funding Structure Oversight Board.
- Sen. Charles Schwertner, R-Georgetown - Co-Chair
- Sen. Brandon Creighton, R-Conroe
- Sen. Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa, D-McAllen
- Sen. Lois Kolkhorst, R-Brenham
They will review how the catastrophic risk pools of other states operate, as well as other information the board considers necessary to prepare a report for the legislature.
"Responsible governance of the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) is of the utmost importance for our coastal communities, and I am confident these senators will focus their attention on this oversight task," said Patrick.
