Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick appointed Sen. Bryan Hughes R-Mineola to the State Preservation Board today. Upon his announcement the lieutenant governor made the following statement:
I am proud to appoint Sen. Hughes to this important committee and Im confident he will ensure that our states vibrant history is preserved.
The State Preservation Board preserves maintains and restores the Capitol the old General Land Office building the Governors Mansion their contents and their grounds.
