Luisa del Rosal Launches Campaign for Texas House

Working together, we will continue to show the nation how Texas leads.”

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – (DALLAS) – Luisa del Rosal today announced she is seeking the Republican nomination for State Representative of Texas House District 114.

“What we have in Texas is exceptional. I know because I have seen the alternative to a free and fair society,” Luisa said. “My background has fueled my passion to empower individuals and communities with freedom and opportunity. These principles have made Texas the economic envy of the nation, but we need strong leadership in the Legislature to champion the kitchen-table issues that matter to our neighbors and counteract harmful liberal policies that recklessly spend our tax dollars, leave our communities vulnerable to crime and enable the humanitarian crisis at our border. Texas needs bold legislators who will fight to keep our state exceptional and find solutions to the challenges we face now and in the future.”

Luisa is proof the American dream is alive and well. Born and raised in Mexico, Luisa always wanted to make a difference, but Mexico is a country lacking the rule of law and where individual ambition and talent are not given free rein. That is why she came to Texas and followed the rules to become a United States citizen.

Luisa enrolled at Southern Methodist University (SMU) where she earned dual bachelor’s degrees and a Master’s in Higher Education Policy and Leadership. After graduating, Luisa ran a program at Education is Freedom, where she worked with local businesses and Mayor Tom Leppert’s office to provide underserved students with internship opportunities to better prepare them for the workforce and college. She currently serves as executive director of two Research and Public Policy Centers at SMU.

“I am humbled by the tremendous support I received for my candidacy last year,” added Luisa. “I am excited to build on our successes and momentum and bring a fresh conservative voice for our community to the Texas House. Working together, we will continue to show the nation how Texas leads.”

Luisa lives in North Dallas with her husband Ricardo. She is a dedicated volunteer of the Junior League of Dallas and serves on several nonprofit boards, including Communities in Schools-Dallas Region and the SMU Catholic Campus Ministry. Luisa and Ricardo are members of St. Rita Catholic Community. Learn more about Luisa at www.LuisaForTexas.com.
