Recognizing a Role Model: Magnolia Junior High Assistant Principal Jason Hawkins
Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON, D.C. – Our Army Reserve units are doing critical work and deserve certainty as they execute their missions. That’s why I
introduced legislation earlier this month to prevent the deactivation of our local U.S. Army Reserve Expeditionary Combat Aviation Brigades (ECABs), which provide critical aviation capabilities such as air assault, MEDEVAC (medical evacuation), and other aviation support.
Here in Conroe, the ECAB mission employs about 400 soldiers and 100 civilians who would be impacted. Deactivating them before a replacement capability is set creates an unacceptable gap in our force structure and gambles with our nation’s readiness. This legislation ensures our posture doesn’t waver throughout this transition while mitigating operational risk.
Recognizing a Role Model
In a world where strong role models matter more than ever, Magnolia Junior High Assistant Principal Jason Hawkins
represents the very best of public education. He’s an extraordinary educator, mentor, and leader who has made a lasting impact on our students and families.
His leadership reminds us that the true measure of an educator is not only found in policies or test scores, but in the lives they influence, the confidence they build, and the example they set for future generations.
