Texas Insider Report: (WASHINGTON, D.C.) – After House Republicans came together to support Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House. I'm proud to have stood by Leader McCarthy, who has a robust plan to get the House of Representatives working for the American people again.
Now we can get to work cutting wasteful spending, holding the Biden Administration accountable, and securing the border — and that starts with the guarantee of a House vote on the Border Security Plan I introduced with the Texas Congressional delegation.In the new Congress, my team and I are also looking forward to continuing to serve Texas’s 10th Congressional District! Last year, my office:
- Returned more than $2.4 million of Texans' hard-earned money from the IRS;
- Conducted 1,516 meetings across the district;
- Nominated 44 outstanding young men and women to our nation's service academies; and
- Helped constituents with 1,436 casework requests.
