Just 25% approve of Biden’s handling of the all-consuming Afghanistan crises in dire polling for Democrats
WASHINGTON, D.C. (Texas Insider Report) — Even journalists are starting to get irritated by the lack of answers – or the dirth of opportunities to even be able to ask the president a question on the multitude of issues facing the country. Friendly interviews leave journalists scratching their heads – and Democrat leaders privately groaning.
But if you want to really know just how bad things are getting for Joe Biden and the Democrats, new polling from NBC News shows his numbers slipping significantly amid the recent bungling of the Afghanistan retreat, and the continued uncertainty over the COVID-19 CoronaVirus.

Here’s some of the bad news:
- Just 25% approve of Biden’s handling of the all-consuming Afghanistan withdrawal crises.
- A full 60% disapprove.
- 47% approve his handling of the economy – a 5% decline from the spring.
- 53% of Americans approve of the president’s handling of the CoronaVirus – a 16% drop since April.
Now Biden – while most often nowhere to be found – is too.
The NBC Poll also shows just how bad voters are viewing the Democrats’ rule so far in Congress – particularly among the all-important "Independent Voter":
- While 88% of Democrats approve of Biden’s overall job performance,
- and an equal 88% of Republicans disapprove
- 46% of Independents disapprove, and 46% approve.

That’s down from the Democrats’ 5-point advantage in April.
Keep in mind, "Registered Voter" polls always leans Democrat, and NBC News polls also usually lean Democrat. This means that in a poll which probably skews a little too far to the left, the Democrats are barely holding their own – down by a point over their control of Congress in a poll with a 3% margin of error.
- 50% of Democrats rank the CoronaVirus as one of the most important issues facing the country
- just 13% of Republicans feel the same way
- And while 51% of Republicans see Border Security & Immigration as one of the top issues,
- just 4% of Democrats feel so
What has also changed for Biden since April, according to the NBC News poll, is an increasingly more pessimistic public.
- 54% — a healthy majority of Americans — say they are mainly worried and pessimistic about the country’s future.
- Only 29% of Americans think the country is headed in the right direction overall, down 7% from the last survey.
- Just 24% describe the Current State of the Economy as excellent or good.

The country wants to know just what's going on, as voters are getting upset that the Biden Administration – which promised to bring honesty and integrity back to the White House – is so often doing the exact opposite.
