When asked if walls are effective Morgan said

They absolutely work. If you look in the past and you dont have to go too far back in history to see that bipartisan legislation has passed:

• The Secure Fence Act in 2006 and 2012
• Bipartisan legislation passed where they built the wall or fence or physical barrier or whatever you want to call it.

Its a wall. It works."

Morgan was removed from his position by President Trump but nonetheless says Trumps right about the need for a wall based on historical fact and the experience of hands-on border experts:

And that doesnt come just from me that comes from professionals whove been doing this their entire adult lives serving the country on the border protecting the citizens. Theyre saying it works. Why arent we listening to the experts and people who do it every day? I dont understand it."

Morgan said he believes opposition to building some form of barrier is based on personal dislike of Donald Trump rather than on the substance of the presidents reasons for advocating it:

Were too wrapped in the style the approach the fact that its coming from the current president rather than the substantive issues. I cannot think of a legitimate argument why anyone would not support the wall as part of a multi-layered border security issue." said Morgan.
