Olson Dedicates Post Office to Fallen Pearland Police Officer Endy Ekpanya

Texas Insider Report: Washington DC Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) today was joined by Pearland Mayor Tom Reid Pearland Police Chief Johnny Spires and Lucy Ekpanya to dedicate a Post Office in Pearland after fallen police officer Endy Nddiobong Ekpanya. Officer Ekpanya was killed by a drunk driver on June 16 2016 while responding to a non-emergency call. He was the first officer in Pearland to be killed in the line of duty in over 40 years.
Each and every day our men and women in blue risk their lives to keep us our families and our communities safe" Rep. Pete Olson said. Endy selflessly served our Pearland community. While we can never truly repay him naming this Post Office after him is a small gesture to thank him for his dedication. Im proud that my colleagues in Congress joined me to pass this law to name this Post Office after Officer Ekpanya so that when Pearland residents visit this Post Office they will see his name and be reminded of his courage service and sacrifice."
Olsons bill H.R. 294 renames the US Post Office located at 2700 Cullen Boulevard in Pearland Texas as the Endy Nddiobong Ekpanya Post Office Building." Every member of the Texas congressional delegation was a cosponsor of the bill which was signed into law by President Trump on March 16 2018.
