Olson to Hold First Meeting Of Congressional Youth Advisory Council

Texas Insider Report: RICHMOND TX Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) will hold the first meeting of the 2018-2019 school year for his Congressional Youth Advisory Council (CYAC) on Saturday August 18^th.  The CYAC is a select group of high school students that meet with Congressman Olson to discuss various issues the first meeting will focus on introducing students to the legislative process. The Council meets six times within a school year and includes a roundtable discussion on current events as well as learning the pivotal role of lawmakers experts and citizens in a democracy.
