“Every single day, especially in this town, all power, all honor, and all glory belong to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Christ is King.”
Last week, Roxanne and I had the great honor of helping lead worship at the National Prayer Breakfast. She sang in the choir, and I played guitar; together, we made a joyful noise unto the Lord!
The National Prayer Breakfast is always a special time of reflection and renewal, but at this year’s gathering, President Trump announced that on May 17, 2026, as part of our nation’s 250th anniversary, all Americans are invited to the National Mall to rededicate America as one nation under God. He said:
“To support this exciting renewal, I’m pleased to announce that on May 17, 2026, we’re inviting Americans from all across the country to come together on our National Mall to pray, to give thanks, and to re-dedicate America as One Nation Under God.”
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth followed with a powerful reminder that resonated deeply in the room:
“Every single day, especially in this town, all power, all honor, and all glory belong to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Christ is King.”
At the National Prayer Breakfast this year, in Washington, D.C., a city that has often placed its faith in politics and power, we saw something different. We witnessed our leaders humbly proclaiming that Christ is King
Earlier in the week, I was humbled to pray at the National Gathering of Prayer and Repentance. It was a powerful moment of unity and conviction, a reminder that America is strongest when we turn our hearts back to God.
As we look toward our nation’s 250th year, let’s continue to pray for revival in our homes, our communities, and across America. May we always remember that true strength, hope, and freedom come not from government, but from God Almighty.
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” — Psalm 33:12
Protecting the Integrity of Our Elections: The SAVE America Act
Free and fair elections are the foundation of our Republic. When Americans can’t trust that our elections are secure and lawful, confidence in the entire system erodes. That’s why I’m proud to support the SAVE America Act, which upholds a simple and commonsense principle: only U.S. citizens should vote in U.S. elections.
Unfortunately, current federal law doesn’t consistently require proof of citizenship for voter registration in federal elections. That inconsistency creates confusion and weakens public trust. The SAVE America Act closes that gap, ensuring fair and transparent elections nationwide.
This legislation strengthens election integrity by:
- Requiring proof of citizenship to register for federal elections.
- Requiring photo identification to vote in federal elections.
- Improving voter roll accuracy through stronger verification standards.
- Providing clear, consistent guidance to states.
- Ensuring every legal vote carries equal weight.
