Remember the multitude of indictments against Trump a few years ago when they wanted to put him in jail for dozens of years?
As a reminder, New York’s flamboyant Attorney General Letitia James accused Trump of fraud for overvaluing property, and New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron infamously found Trump guilty because the market value of Mar-a-Lago was "between $18 and $27.6 million." That was far lower than Trump's estimate of $426 million to $612 million. Trump was said to have falsely claimed “an overvaluation of at least 2,300%."The courts just ruled that the value of the property is $650 million - even higher than Trump Inc.’s appraisal.
Incidentally, any fool who had ever been to Mar-a-Lago and knew anything about real estate prices in Palm Beach laughed under the table about Letitia’s claim of a value of less than $30 million.
Letitia should be disbarred for gross incompetence and prosecutorial misconduct.
At least an apology should be forthcoming. Don't hold your breath.
