BRADY: Paycheck Protection Program Deadline Extended

Important update for small businesses: the deadline to apply for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) has been extended. 

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON, D.C. –
Starting Monday, July 6th, small businesses can once again apply for loans through the PPP. The new deadline to apply for a Paycheck Protection Program loan is August 8, 2020.

Already, more than 4.8 million PPP applications have been approved for a total of more than $521 billion in relief loans.

The Paycheck Protection Program protects millions of Americans employed by small businesses by authorizing funds for job retention and certain other expenses.

Small businesses and eligible nonprofit organizations, Veterans organizations, and Tribal businesses described in the Small Business Act, as well as individuals who are self-employed or are independent contractors, are eligible if they also meet program size standards.
