House Republicans are proposing a legislative agenda to restore American energy dominance, bring down inflation, and make our government accountable again

The Biden Administration's failure to protect the U.S. mainland from a Chinese spy balloon is an example of how the President's foreign policy weaknesses and inability to deter aggression threaten our National Security.
It is imperative that we return to American strength. We must put an end to Chinese spying on Americans–whether in our airspace or on our children through their phones.

Last fall, the radical D.C. City Council passed a bill to give illegal immigrants, Chinese and Russian agents, foreign exchange students, and quite literally anyone who finds themselves in our Nation’s capital for longer than 30 days the ability to vote in local elections.
Allowing noncitizens to vote in local elections is an extreme risk to the security of our election system. I was the first Member of Congress to introduce legislation to block this ludicrous provision.
Congress has a limited time to REVERSE the D.C. City Council decision, and this week we passed a bill to overturn the measure. This should not be a partisan issue, but unfortunately 162 Democrats sided with noncitizen voting!
Americans deserve confidence in our election system and confidence in knowing that ONLY LEGAL American citizens are casting their vote in elections here in this country.
Repealing the Natural Gas Tax
The House Energy & Commerce Committee held a hearing on my bill to strike the Natural Gas Tax that Democrats included in the Inflation "Expansion" Act last year. These new fees will be devastating to small and independent producers and raise costs for all American families. - Watch my remarks here.
One point the President and I agree on is that oil and gas WILL be essential for years to come. The difference is that Republicans have laid the groundwork to improve our energy infrastructure and prioritize energy security.
Congress should pass my bill to repeal President Biden's tax on natural gas to lower costs for American families and ensure American energy can again dominate the world stage.
My hope is that the President will correct course and work with the legislative agenda that House Republicans are proposing to restore American energy dominance, bring down inflation, secure the border, and make our government accountable again.
