"In August, Border Patrol apprehensions along the Southwest border were 94% lower than the monthly average under the Biden administration."
Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON, D.C. — Members of my Washington, D.C. staff were honored to greet veterans from the Permian Basin Honor Flight this week and present each veteran with a flag that had flown over the U.S. Capitol. For many of these heroes, this trip was their first chance to see the monuments dedicated in their honor. It was also a long-overdue moment of recognition for the veterans who never received the heroes' welcome they deserved when they came home.
I am extremely grateful for every service member who has courageously risked their life to defend our freedoms. We wish the entire Permian Basin Honor Flight a safe trip back home to Texas.16 consecutive months of zero releases at our southern border
Recently, we marked 16 consecutive months of zero releases at our southern border. Thanks to President Trump’s leadership and the policies Republicans have fought to deliver in Congress, the chaos of the previous administration has been replaced with order. In August, Border Patrol apprehensions along the Southwest border were 94% lower than the monthly average under the Biden administration, and a month that once saw more than 10,000 releases saw none.
A secure border keeps our communities safer and puts the rule of law first. It means fewer dangerous drugs reaching our neighborhoods, more resources for the men and women of Border Patrol, and a government that finally puts Americans first.
