Eastland Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Roundtable
I joined the Eastland Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Roundtable, where I met with local business leaders, elected officials, and members of the community to deliver a keynote updating them on my work in D.C. serving TX-25 and hear about issues that are important to them. As a business owner myself, I understand firsthand how Main Street is struggling in today’s economy. As Chairman of the House Small Business Committee, I am committed to protecting small businesses from the overbearing regulations that hurt competition.
 
Texas Farm Bureau Roundtable Luncheon and Volleman’s Family Farm Tour
I attended the Texas Farm Bureau Roundtable Luncheon to meet with local farmers in Comanche County and tour the Volleman’s Family Farm. Every 5 years, the Farm Bill gives Congress the ability to authorize new agricultural programs and policies. I am committed to using this opportunity to protect our nation’s ranchers and farmers by streamlining the processes of current programs, providing crucial resources including disaster relief, and ensuring that the wellbeing of our farmers is not dependent on unchecked welfare programs.
 
East Parker County Chamber of Commerce Small Business Roundtable
I had the opportunity to join the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce Small Business Roundtable to meet with business leaders in Parker County and learn about the successes and challenges they are facing in today’s economy. We discussed how overbearing regulations are crippling their bottom line and my work in Congress fighting to bring affordability back to Main Street.
