Rep. Barton: Congratulations Chairman-Elect Walden 

I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to my friend Greg Walden of Oregon on becoming the next Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee. He is a good man and will be an outstanding Chairman. I wish him well and will do everything in my power to help make his Chairmanship a success for the American people. I also want to commend my friend John Shimkus of Illinois on his campaign. It is a blessing to serve on a Committee with so many talented and able Members and friends. The Energy and Commerce Committee will be a hub of activity next year. I look forward to working with Chairman Walden as we move the country forward. Congratulations Mr. Chairman!"
