Rep. Beth Van Duyne: President Trump's 100 Days of Winning

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON, D.C. –  It has been a busy first 100 days for President Trump's Administration, and start to the 119th Congress. Just 100 days in and we are not tired of winning. So far, we have secured the border, unleashed American energy, lowered prices, secured $5+ trillion in new private U.S. investment, and initiated negotiations for free and fair trade.

House passes the Laken Riley Act
The House and Senate passed the Laken Riley Act which was signed into law by President Trump on January 29th. To stop violent criminal aliens from being released after committing a crime, The Laken Riley Act mandates federal detention of illegal immigrants who are accused of theft, burglary, assaulting a law enforcement officer, and any crime that causes death or serious bodily injury.

 Borders are Secured
America’s borders are the most secure they have ever been, and American families are safer because of it.

President Trump has restored law and order at our southern border. We saw border apprehensions plummet by 94% compared to last year, from 137,473 in March 2024 to just 7,181 in March 2025.

He declared a national emergency, deployed the military to the border, restarted construction of the wall, and repurposed the CBP One app to help illegal immigrants self-deport.

Energy Security
We are increasingly unleashing America's full energy potential to make our country more globally competitive and lower prices for our families.

House Republicans are working with the Administration to reverse the costly red tape that was put into place by the Biden Administration to constrict American energy exploration and development.

We also understand that Energy Security is National Security - we should not rely on oftentimes hostile foreign countries for our energy needs.

Economy: Inflation Down
The American Economy has been reignited, and inflation is down for the first time in over five years. We have seen gas prices lower 6.3%, and egg prices are down 56% already.

Manufacturing is coming back to the United States, adding 10,000 new manufacturing jobs in his first month in office, and 228,000 jobs in March. The automobile industry gained 8,900 new jobs in February, after losing 27,300 jobs in Biden’s final year.

Investments in America
The Trump Administration has secured trillions of dollars of commitments from private companies to initiate a new era of high-tech manufacturing in America. These companies and what they have pledged includes: Apple announcing a $500 billion investment, Project Stargate, led by Softbank, OpenAI, and Oracle have pledged $500 billion, $500 billion from Nvidia, $100 billion from TSMC, just to name some of the biggest ones, then Johnson & Johnson, Roche, Eli Lilly and Company, Novartis, Hyundai, and others, also pledging billions in investments.

The Administration is also actively engaged with over 75 trading partners to restructure trading agreements so American companies finally are able to gain access to foreign markets and our businesses and products are treated fairly around the world.

Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)
President Trump is slashing government waste like never before. He established the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which has already identified $160 billion in savings.

To support and codify the DOGE efforts, I introduced the Government Offices Realignment and Closure Act (GORAC) to tackle government bloat by auditing federal agencies for waste, duplication, and inefficiency, and fast-tracking the closure of redundant offices.

We are protecting American small businesses too. I introduced the American Entrepreneurs First Act to ensure that only qualified American citizens can access SBA loans and programs.

We are also protecting the rights of American citizens and securing our elections through the SAVE Act, ensuring that only U.S. citizens can register to vote in federal elections.

 Promises made, Promises Kept
We are just getting started! I’m fighting every day to codify these wins into law.

We will protect our job creators from burdensome regulations, safeguard the benefits that rightfully belong to American citizens, defend the integrity of our elections, and lock in these America First policies for generations to come.

The days of bloated bureaucracy, open borders, and unfair trade are over.
