SAFE Supply Chains Act is Critical to U.S. National Security

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Texas Insider Report) — Political violence only serves to weaken our republic and it has no place in the United States of America. The fact that one of the leading candidates for president, Donald Trump, has now been the target of a second assassination attempt in just over two months is appalling.
The U.S. Secret Service needs a drastic change of culture to ensure that they are able to protect ANY of our political leaders. This means a reemphasis on the fundamentals of VIP security: Securing the perimeter, leveraging resources and technology, and keeping an open line of communication.
Based on what whistleblowers and former agents are telling our Task Force, the Secret Service--with a budget of $3.1 billion and 8,000 personnel--is well able to accomplish their zero-fail mission. We should all be thankful for the elite and dedicated agents who make up the vast majority of the force, but its clear that the failures we have seen of late come from poor and dysfunctional leadership at the top.
We also need to know for certain whether President Trump is receiving the same protection as does Joe Biden or Kamala Harris. For example, we have seen concerning reports that agents who should have been tasked with President Trump's detail at the July 13 Butler rally were instead stationed elsewhere. This is unacceptable, particularly when you consider that there was and still is a credible threat posed by the Iranian regime to target Donald Trump.
In recent weeks, our Task Force has been hard at work conducting transcribed interviews with local and state law enforcement agencies at the Butler site. We have started with the local agencies so that we can then be best equipped to cross-examine the federal agencies who were involved with security on July 13.
I will do all I can to continue to provide updates on this extremely important issue as we head into November.
Our Task Force remains committed to uncovering the truth of what happened and ensuring that the Secret Service and Department of Homeland Security make the much needed changes to how they operate going forward.
