“This is why I am proud to introduce a 2nd Amendment package that eliminates unconstitutional restrictions placed on the right to bear arms.”

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – "I am proud to fight for the 2nd Amendment, and will always oppose any legislation that aims to restrict that right,” said Texas State Representative Carrie Isaac, reaffirming her unwavering commitment to the 2nd Amendment and emphasizing, “This is why I am proud to introduce a 2nd Amendment package that eliminates unconstitutional restrictions placed on the right to bear arms.”

“The 2nd Amendment affirms that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. I have been and always will be a steadfast supporter of our Bill of Rights, without exception," said Isaac.

"The 2nd Amendment is fundamental to our ability to protect and preserve all other rights and our Republic itself.”

Addressing recent legislative efforts to restrict gun rights, Representative Isaac made it clear that she is committed to opposing unconstitutional infringements on Texans’ right to self-defense.

The package includes several bills aimed at protecting Texans’ gun rights:

  • HB 2879Protects the right to self-defense, including the use of deadly force, for residents in affordable housing. Representative Isaac drafted HB 2879 to address the circumstances faced by Aleah Wallace and, given the significance of this legislation, has chosen to name the bill in her honor.
  • HB 2881 – Pushes back against federal efforts to create barriers to obtaining ammunition and parts for personal ammunition manufacturing.
  • HB 2882 Ensures the right to purchase and sell firearm braces if they are manufactured in Texas.
  • HB 1128 – Grants election judges the right to concealed carry at polling places.
  • HB 1337 – Recognizes handgun licenses issued by other states in Texas.
“The right of Texans to protect themselves and carry firearms is essential to preserving both freedom and safety in Texas. I'm proud to fight for the 2nd Amendment and will always oppose any legislation that aims to restrict that right,” stated Isaac.

Isaac serves as the State Representative for House District 73, which includes Comal County and part of Hays County south and west of Austin.
