State Rep. Carrie Isaac Bills Work to Ensure Election Security & Maintain Voter Integrity


"It is quite simple, if we do not have secure elections, we do not have a sovereign nation.”

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas Texas voters understand that strong election security is paramount, and have clearly expressed their support for protecting voter integrity at the National, State & Local levels. Voting is a fundamental pillar of a sovereign nation, ensuring that the people have a voice in their government. 

“Maintaining and always improving the integrity of our elections is vitally important to ensure trust and confidence in the outcome of our elections by making it easier to vote and harder to cheat. It is quite simple – if we don't have secure elections, we don't have a sovereign nation," said State Representative for Texas House District 73, Carrie Isaac.

"All eligible Texans have the right to vote and make their voice heard – and that is something I will always support,” said Isaac

Representative Isaac has been working on a legislative package aimed at tightening election security and ensuring that all Texans, and only Texans, have the right to vote in the state’s elections.
 
  • HB 2739 is a bill that requires the address on the four primary forms of photo ID to match the voter’s Voter Unique Identifier (VUID) address. This ensures that voters cast their ballots in their correct voting district and prevents fraudulent or multiple votes from being cast.
  • HB 2738 is a bill that requires voters to present a valid, government-issued ID  to ensure authenticity and prevent the use of expired or fraudulent documents in the voting process.
These bills together will both maintain the integrity of our elections, and ensure the voice of every Texans can be heard. 

Carrie Isaac serves as the State Representative for House District 73, which includes Comal County and part of Hays County.
