Rep. McCaul visits with Austin 20 on ways to combat human trafficking

Last week Congressman McCaul met with Austin 20, an organization that helps survivors of human trafficking and works with law enforcement to reduce trafficking instances.

"With an estimated 300,000 people in Texas having directly suffered from this modern day form of slavery, organizations like Austin 20 and Houston 20 are essential in making change, both on the national level through legislation and on the local level through mitigating crimes and caring for survivors in our Texas communities.

"These conversations with advocates and survivors on the ground are the first step in creating effective legislation, and I look forward to bringing their insight back to Congress.”
