"Operation Stonegarden provides funding to local & state law enforcement agencies to partner with Border Patrol to combat human & drug smuggling."

Texas Insider Report WASHINGTON, D.C.  Texas Congressman Gonzales joined Terrell County Sheriff Thad Cleveland, and Texas DPS Helicopter pilots Morris & Chavez,  to see President Trump’s border security policies in action. Congressman Gonzales represents Texas Congressional District 23 – the largest border district in the U.S. House of Representatives (below) – and sits on both committees in Congress with jurisdiction over the Department of Homeland Security (DHS,) the House Committee on Homeland Security and the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security.

Through his seat on the House Committee on Homeland Security, Gonzaales advanced President Trump’s border provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act that was signed into law in July.
