Rep. Tony Gonzales Hosts House GOP Members of Congress in Eagle Pass

“Now more than ever, Congress needs to pass a strong budget that puts a stop to Biden’s open-borders agenda.”

AUSTIN, Texas (Texas Insider Report) — “This should not be a partisan issue. My message is clear – end catch and release, stop using asylum as a hall pass, and put our Border Patrol Agents back on the frontlines,” said Congressman Tony Gonzales as he led a Congressional Delegation on a tour of the border destruction surrounding the south Texas city of Eagle Pass earlier today.

The small south Texas town with a population hovering around 29,000 has become the epicenter of the catastrophic, and rapidly growing border crisis.

The members of Congress (at right,) received briefings on the current state of the massive influx from:
They also received a private tour of the soft-sided migrant processing facility in Eagle Pass.

Border Patrol currently has an estimated 5,000 migrants in custody at the facility – which is intended to hold 1,000.

“Now more than ever, Congress needs to pass a strong budget that puts a stop to Biden’s open-borders agenda,” said Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23).

Congressman Gonzales was joined by U.S. Representatives:

  • Jodey Arrington (TX-19)
  • Ronny Jackson (TX-13)
  • Nathaniel Moran (TX-1),
  • August Pfluger (TX-11), and
  • Brandon Williams (NY-22)

"Enough is enough. High-speed pursuits have become a weekly, if not daily occurrence in our communities. Schools have continuously locked down, people have died," says Cong. Tony Gonzales.
