“I serve the largest Border District in Congress, and we’re sick of the Biden administration’s refusal to crack down on border security."
WASHINGTON, D.C. (Texas Insider Report) — “Yesterday in my district, two innocent Americans were killed in a car crash during a high-speed chase involving a human smuggler. I serve the largest Border District in Congress, and we’re sick and tired of the Biden White House’s refusal to crack down on border security," said Cong. Tony Gonzales, whose South Texas District 23 runs from the west side of San Antonio all the way to the eastern area of El Paso.
"This is not the first time in Texas House District 23 that American bystanders have been casualties of this border crisis. Earlier this year, Maria Alvarez Tambunga and her seven-year-old granddaughter, Emilia Tambunga, were killed in a similar situation.
“We’re tired of feeling unsafe in our communities – and we’re fed up with a Washington establishment that uses the border as a political tool," said Gonzales.
"Many times, I’ve extended an olive branch to the Biden administration on border security solutions, but I've lost faith in their ability to do their job, enforce the rule of law, and protect the American homeland.

"For that reason, I fully support Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s resolution,” said Congressman Gonzales, of Greene’s (GA-14) newly filed Impeachment Resolution.
In a subsequent post on X, Congresswoman Greene said two of her constituents had been killed Wednesday in Texas when their Chevrolet Equinox got into a “high-speed head-on collision” with suspected migrant smugglers.
“They had 5 kids who will never get to say goodbye,” she wrote. “Americans are getting murdered just traveling to see their families.”
“The utter disregard for American life displayed by Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas can no longer be ignored.
"The time for more hearings is over.” Greene said.
“Lives have been lost forever. Everyone should care. This is not a political issue.”
