Texas Insider Report WASHINGTON, D.C. –  Congressman Roger Williams’ (TX-25) released the following statement upon passage of his bill, H.R. 7664, the Supporting Small Business and Career and Technical Education Act, from the House Small Business Committee. “America is in critical need of skilled professionals, and I was proud to see my bill that encourages increased participation in Career and Technical Education (CTE) pass out of committee today,” said Congressman Williams. 

“My bill will ensure students are aware of the benefits of CTE programs and assist graduates with additional support as they enter the workforce or start their own businesses. Now more than ever our country needs more plumbers, electricians, mechanics, and healthcare workers. I thank the committee for their bipartisan approach to pass legislation that will lend increased support to the next generation of high-skilled professionals who will make extraordinary contributions to our communities and the American economy.”
