Rep. Williams Statement on Obama Administrations Alleged Ransom Payment to Iran

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN Texas Congressman Roger Williams (R Austin) a member of the Financial Services Committees Task Force to Investigate Terrorism Financing today released the following statement after it was made public that the Obama Administration secretly airlifted $400 million in cash to Iran coinciding with the nuclear deal and the release of four American held hostages: What an outrage that President Obama reportedly paid a ransom to a state-sponsor of terrorism. The $400 million in cash that was secretly airlifted to Iran will almost certainly support future incidents of Iranian sponsored terror. Simply put President Obama has helped Americas enemies and harmed Americas allies. But it really shouldnt surprise anyone since this is the same administration that signed an agreement that ensures Iran becomes a nuclear power. This is yet another example of the reckless dangerous foreign policy we have seen for the last eight years.
