Sen. Cruz & Cong. Gonzales on 'Border Czar' Harris’s Friday Trip to El Paso: “3 Months Overdue, Here’s What She'll See..."

"Maybe after her visit, the administration will reverse course and start enforcing the law and protecting our border.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Texas Insider Report) — "It only took more than 500,000 Illegal Immigrants entering the United States, more than 400,000 pounds of drugs seized, 19 U.S. Senators traveling to the Southern Border, and 92 days after being appointed "Border Crisis Czar" for Kamala Harris to visit the southern border," said Sen. Ted Cruz earlier today, after Vice President Harris announced she will visit El Paso, Texas after 92 days without a border visit.

The Biden-Harris Administration has repeatedly made reckless policy decisions leading to the massive surge of illegal immigrants flooding our southern border. Right now, they are functioning as the last mile of a human trafficking and illegal drug network that cartels are exploiting.

"Maybe after her visit, the administration will reverse course and start enforcing the law and protecting our border,” said Cruz.

Congressman Tony Gonzales – whose South Texas District covers more than 40% of, and includes over 820 miles of the U.S.-Mexico Border – said the following after Harris announced she'd be visiting to the southern border's El Paso sector, saying:

“I have been urging the Vice President for months to come to my district to see the border crisis firsthand,” said Gonzales.

“Three months overdue, but here’s what she will see:

  • Record Number of Apprehensions
  • Counties pleading for more Body Bags
  • Rising cime in our cCmmunities, and
  • Border Patrol Agents stretched to a breaking point
"We need the Biden Administration to finally take this seriously, and I'll continue to urge them to come to the table and support any efforts to secure our border.

"Each day they refuse to act, migrants are dying on this dangerous trek,
” said Congressman Gonzales.
