WASHINGTON, D.C. (Texas Insider Report) — "The Biden White House is actively and egregiously undermining our National Security and our 1st Amendment Rights through these (vaccine) mandates," said Texas Senator Ted Cruz, as he announced he has been joined by his fellow members of Congress in both the Senate and House in leading an Amicus Brief to stand up for the Religious Liberty of the Nation's Navy SEALS given the recent erosion of their 1st Amendment rights under President Joe Biden when it comes to the issue of Vaccine Mandates.
Regarding the efforts, Cruz, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said:
“Forcing employees to choose between their COVID vaccination and their job is wrong."My colleagues and I refuse to stand idly by as religious liberty is threatened, and I'm proud to be on the front lines of the fight to protect the rights guaranteed by our Constitution,” Cruz said.
Additionally, Sen. Cruz led 38 of his Senate & House colleagues in challenging President Biden’s illegal vaccine mandate on Federal Employees. Cruz has continually fought for Religious & Healthcare freedom, having:
- Co-led with Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) the amicus brief in the 303 Creative v. Elenis case.
- Sent a letter to Military Service Academies fighting for religious freedom, and
- Introduced legislation to prohibit the military from dishonorably discharging unvaccinated service members
