Sen. Cruz to Participate in Texas Executive Press Conference and Roundtable with Michael Dell, Brad Gerstner, and Frank Bisignano to Discuss Trump Accounts

Trump Accounts, available now for all children 18 and under, allow for contributions from individuals, family members, and friends up to $5,000 annually. Employers may contribute $2,500 per year.

Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) will participate in a press conference and executive roundtable with Michael Dell, founder, chairman and CEO of Dell Technologies, Brad Gerstner, founder, chairman and CEO of Altimeter Capital, Frank Bisignano, CEO of the IRS, and dozens of executives representing a wide range of Texas industries.

The discussion will focus on the opportunity corporate America has to make a generational impact on American families’ financial futures by contributing to Trump Accounts for their employees' children. Texas’s child population, Fortune 500 concentration, and share of national employers headquartered in the state mean Texas is strongly positioned to reach a large share of the next generation by leading the way in driving corporate adoption of the accounts.

Trump Accounts, legislation authored by Sen. Cruz and established by law as part of the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, are private, tax-advantaged accounts for every American child, seeded with a $1,000 investment from the federal government for children born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028. Trump Accounts, available now for all children 18 and under, allow for contributions from individuals, family members, and friends up to $5,000 annually. Employers may contribute $2,500 per year.

Earlier this month, the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced guidance addressing employer-sponsored programs for contributions to Trump Accounts.
