Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – State Senator Adam Hinojosa, District 27, has been appointed Chairman of the Texas Senate Committee on Nominations for the 90th Legislature, a key leadership position within the Texas Senate responsible for reviewing and advancing gubernatorial appointments across the State of Texas.

As Chairman, Senator Hinojosa will oversee the vetting of nominees to state boards, commissions, and agencies that play a vital role in serving Texans and shaping our state's future. The committee ensures that individuals appointed to positions of public trust meet the highest standards of qualification, integrity, and service.
In addition to serving as Chairman of the Committee on Nominations, Senator Hinojosa has also been appointed to the Committee on Business and Commerce, the Senate Select Committee on Religious Liberty, the Senate Committee on Water, Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Senate Committee on Administration.
Senator Hinojosa’s committee assignments reflect a broad scope of responsibility across key areas, including governance, economic development, infrastructure, and the protection of fundamental liberties.
