Sessions Supports NDAA Conference Report

Texas Insider Report: WASHINGTON D.C. U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX) Chairman of the House Committee on Rules released the following statement in support of the Conference Report to the National Defense Authorization Act of 2018:
As Members of Congress we have an obligation and a duty to ensure our military is robust strong and ready. Today we fulfilled this responsibility by increasing funding to maintain readiness on all fronts supplying our troops with new equipment and tools as well as providing our men and women in uniform with the largest pay raise in eight years. I am proud of this package because it represents the viewpoints and ideas of members from both sides of the aisle in both of the Chambers. In our committee alone we made 210 amendments in order for consideration - the most amendments we have ever made in order for NDAA. With these amendments the House passed a robust package that was then made even better by the conferees. I would like to applaud my friend Chairman Mac Thornberry and all of the members who helped craft this critical measure to help restore and rebuild our military. I proudly supported this package and I look forward to my colleagues in the Senate taking the measures necessary to pass this report so we can send it to the Presidents desk.
